And now with last week’s OCR rise of another 50 basis points … if only we had a crystal ball to know the impact this is going to have on home loan interest rates going forward, and whether it’s a good time for first-home buyers to dive into the property market.

The First Home Loan & Grant caps have been lifted.

The 2022 Budget announcement saw some major changes to Government assistance for first home buyers.  The changes will make it possible for more first home buyers to access the First Home Grant to put towards their deposit and be eligible for a 5% deposit using the First Home Loan.
